"We are outta here!" Waters screams as they get back to Farley's 'bus'. Faucy has the jee-pee-ess working though, it's glowing lattice like hologram lights up the cabin...so beautiful, but there's no time to waste.
"Punch it Farley!!"

Small arms fire peppers the ancient hull, then Farley sees the 20mm - big fucker, and his armour's damaged already (he realises that under WRG Modern rules, the 20mm has a 1 in 6 chance of penetrating his APC's armour Wink ). He swerves to avoid the raking fire that gets closer and closer, as the half closed hatch takes a glancing shot and shards of killing steel enter the cabin. Keeler's combat senses are alive (is he some sort of damned cyborg?), his brain mapping the scene before it happens. Silently, almost in slow motion, he dives in front of the shrapnel destined for Faucy. "Keeler!" she screeches...but it's just a flesh wound.

No time to worry about it now. The gate explodes into shards of useless aluminium as Farley's 'battle bus' bursts through it. "GO! GO! GO!!"

Bikes and fast moving trikes give chase. Farley and Keeler know this place, know the bridge. It'll force the fight into two lanes, allow them to use the ancient wrecks as cover...might even allow Keeler a shot or two.

The bus weaves in and out of the wreckage as it hits the icy bridge. Waters flings open the hatch as he and Keeler lean on the deck. Waters empties a mag into the air, satisfying himself that he's doing something, even as Keeler's shot, his aim zoning out the movement, the air, perhaps even time itself, finds its mark and takes down a rider, flinging the passenger forward into the back of the bus.

But it's not enough, and the bikes are gaining. Farley's swerving takes down the pursuers on one side, though a grappling hook allows a raider to gain purchase on the hull, clambering her way up.

"I'm reloading..I'm reloading" Waters screams from the cabin, fumbling for a mag that fits.
Keeler shakes his head. He always knows where his ammo is, always knows the right calibre, always knows how many rounds he has left. He pumps the shotgun with one hand, brings it to bear on the figure climbing up the side of the battle bus, death... in the face of ...a woman. She looks like Faucy, she's scared, she's alone, she's...he can't kill her.

Farley stares at the cracked mirrors on each side of the vehicle. He's taken down the bikes on the left, still moving on the right, and one of them is on his hull...HIS hull. No way, can't allow that.

The vehicle lurches violently as he hits the brakes, the bike speeding past, narrowly missing a collision.

Keeler is about to offer the girl his hand, even as his back smashes against the hatch as the bus whines and lurches to a halt. She loses her grip, flying forward onto the road. Her hears her fall, hears her body's dull thud against the frozen steel littering the bridge, hears her die. He closes his eyes and falls back into the cabin.

Farley heads for the mountains. He knows his stash...he's got fuel and the old base up there, amongst the dead trees. Time to re-arm, refit and recover. It'll help Faucy too. She needs the high ground to triangulate the jee-pee-ess.

He disables the claymores and they find sanctuary. Waters and Farley try the radio. There's a lot of traffic from the other side of the mountain. "You heard the name Rothschild before?" he asks Waters.

Waters stares at him, remembering. It was him and Rothschild and...

Keeler helps Faucy move the power unit from the bus, after she patches him up. She slips, but he catches her...unable to let her go. She smiles...

(This second clip is wierder..because...is that a Ford Escort in blue???)

I should know better than to miss a session. Especially when Steve is still playing. Embarassed

This has his name written all over it. I still remember what you did to Logdan of Bogdan in that damn checkerboard room.

Actually, it was pretty much a direct copy Smile)

Oh no wait. Steve deliberately tried to kill your character that time, so slightly different Wink

Found this by the way...it may be the greatest game of our time (their time...uh..that time). (Backed, so I'm sure it's available somewhere)

It serves you right for missing a session.  I will say in my defence that Logdan's trousers remained on throughout his ordeal, and I did not take any part in what happened last week - in fact, I was the one that suggested that you should be given a right to veto the event when you get back.

You mean Logdan's loin cloth. lol!

Sorry Steve. You're my go to man for taking the blame for these misadventures

I think I'll need a group recap in order to decide if it was all just a bad dream... Razz
